The mission of the Pattern Maker  

We are looking for a Pattern Maker to our Head Office in Stockholm. You’ll be working in a team of pattern makers, designers, buyers and merchandiser to develop new products and collections. At Filippa K, quality comes first. Our products will last a long time and the fit is one of our main strengths. The role as Pattern Maker is therefore highly dependent on proactivity and feeling of ownership. You will be responsible for one or more product groups in Women’s category.  


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Pattern making in Gerber system
  • Responsible for requesting a high level of making from our sewing suppliers
  • Handling and controlling of supplier samples
  • Book and lead fitting sessions of in-house samples (toiles) and supplier samples, invite designers and buyers.
  • Working with/learning 3D in CLO

Skill profile

  • Understanding of and feeling for Filippa K core values and vision
  • Pattern making skills in CAD system, preferable Gerber
  • Grading skills
  • Adobe Illustrator and PLM knowledge
  • Basic sewing skills
  • Knowledge of the process of how to manufacture garments in a big scale and how to communicate with an external sewing supplier
  • Excellent sense of three-dimensional shape and fit
  • Knowledge of 3D is preferable 
  • Experience of pattern making/draping for light woven garments and outerwear is preferable
  • College, University of Applied Sciences, Academy of Cutting and Tailoring or similar higher education in pattern making and garment production
  • Minimum of 4 years working as a Pattern Maker


The role will be located in Stockholm. You will report to Business Unit Head Women. The position is a one-year substitute with start in March 2020.
