The Filippa K FK Studio team is looking for an intern for the Fall of 2021, to start in July/August/September and work full-time for at least 4-5 months.

Founded by celebrated Swedish fashion designer Filippa Knutsson in 1993, Filippa K has grown internationally to become a household name synonymous with Scandinavian style. Timeless silhouettes are re-interpreted within the context of modern life, with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail resulting in ready-to-wear collections for women and men. The Stockholm-based fashion house now has over 200 employees across Europe and continues its journey of global expansion guided by a mission of mindful consumption: creating fewer, better pieces, designed to last.

FK Studio is a circular hub and creative space at the Filippa K head office in Stockholm. We support circular processes and creative ways of working throughout all stages of a product’s life.


About the internship

Main functions of the FK Studio are finding new lives for secondhand and claimed garments through experimentation, design and remaking. We also engage and communicate about circular and sustainable design, repair and re-use of garments both internally and externally.

Work in the FK Studio is creative, experimental and hands-on, having circularity at the heart of everything! You will be part of a small but driven team that collaborates across departments in the company. As an intern you will be introduced to all the different aspects of Filippa K and will gain insight to developing circularity in the fashion industry. Your tasks could include sorting, washing and registering data with incoming collect and claim garments; help with mending and remaking of garments; experimenting, pattern making and sewing; creating digital content for communicating circular initiatives internally and externally.


Knowledge, skills and requirements

●      You are a student studying fashion or textile design with interest in circularity and sustainability or similar

●      You are creative and have sustainable mindset in everything you do

●      You are structured, take initiative and enjoy versatile tasks

●      You enjoy experimental processes and hands-on work with garments

●      Creative skills as sewing, pattern making, weaving, knitting, dying printing are a plus (but not a requirement)

●      Skills with photographing and image processing are a plus (but not a requirement)

●      English both written and spoken
